MBTA: Arlington Station Accessibility Improvements

Project Description:
Located on MBTA’s Green Line, Arlington Station now is ADA accessible. The $22.7 million project included the addition of three elevators, new head-houses & stairways and new electrical systems throughout the station. MBTA also raised platforms to accommodate low-floor vehicles.
As part of the 15% to 75% design phase of this project, RND provided engineering support services, including: traffic ramp design support, CAD drafting, QA/QC and interdisciplinary design review and preparation of civil specification sections.
