Project Description:

RND was awarded a three-year on-call contract with the South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) to provide right of way services, including acquisition (permission only and full acquisitions), relocation, appraisal, exhibits, title work, and survey/staking.

As part of this contract, RND completed acquisition services for the Roundabout at S-22-878 (Old Kings Highway) and S-22-1018/L-2645 (Riverwood Drive) project in Georgetown County. The project improved traffic congestion and delays along the corridor while enhancing safety at the intersection for local residents and tourists. The improvement project impacted approximately nine (9) real estate properties. Located at the intersection of S-878 (Old Kings Highway) and Riverwood Drive (S-1018), the project required RND to assist SCDOT with the acquisition of approximately nine (9) tracts in preparation for the design and construction of the roundabout. RND also coordinated closely with SCDOT, property owners, surveyors, appraisers, and the engineering team throughout the acquisition process.
