Project Description:
The Pawtucket-Central Falls Transit Center was a $63 million design-build project that officially opened in January 2023. The hub connects the Blackstone Valley to Boston and features an MBTA Commuter Rail station, a RIPTA bus hub, and an active transit corridor. The transit center has spurred rapid transit-oriented development (TOD), including new housing and local business investments. It also serves as a major connection point for Rhode Islanders traveling for work and school.
