Project Description:

The I-95 Widening Project in Jasper County involves expanding the interstate from just north of the US 278 interchange (Exit 8) to north of the Captain Bill Road overpass (Exit 21.75). This includes the addition of travel lanes in each direction, the replacement of mainline and overpass bridges, and potential interchange improvements at Exit 18 and adjacent areas along Bees Creek Road. The scope of work encompasses right-of-way (ROW) support services, final environmental permitting, public engagement, comprehensive geotechnical investigations, engineering and design of roadways and bridges, and construction phase support. These efforts aim to enhance capacity, safety and long-term infrastructure resilience along this critical corridor.

RND Consultants supports CDM Smith on the I-95 Widening project from mile marker 8 to 21 by providing ROW services for the acquisition and management of up to 10 parcels and 4 temporary construction easements. Services include preparation of a ROW cost estimate and acquisition timeline to support project planning and budgeting efforts, as well as management of title attorneys and appraisal vendors for tenders to offer and the preparation of all turn-in files. Additionally, RND also maintains a parcel and ownership tracking system informed by comprehensive tax record research and updated throughout the acquisition process.
