RND Consultants supported the City of New Bedford in advancing the redevelopment of an approximately 100-acre site into a proposed advanced manufacturing campus. RND provided economic and real estate advisory services throughout the planning and implementation process, including market analysis, development feasibility, procurement strategy, and evaluation of the economic benefits associated with the proposed master plan.
RND analyzed market conditions and target industries to help establish a realistic development program and inform the City’s strategy for attracting a qualified private development partner. Building from the master plan, RND translated the proposed development program into clear economic impact findings, including anticipated private investment, employment, economic activity, and broader benefits to the City. He presented these findings to the New Bedford City Council, helping municipal decision-makers understand the economic development case for advancing the project and selecting a developer partner.

RND also developed a grant and funding strategy to identify opportunities for public investment in infrastructure and site readiness that could leverage private capital and support formation of a public-private partnership. The combined market, economic, funding, and procurement strategy helped move the project from planning toward implementation, culminating in City approval of a private developer partner to advance the proposed campus.
