Project Description:

The MBTA Green Line C Branch Short Term Accessibility Improvements project will enhance accessibility, safety, and passenger experience at select stations along the C Branch through targeted infrastructure and station improvements. In support of these upgrades, RND Consultants, Inc. provides comprehensive asset management services to ensure that all newly installed and modified assets are accurately documented, tracked, and prepared for integration into the MBTA's asset management program.

RND's services include the collection, validation, compilation, and management of asset information associated with the procurement, delivery, installation, testing, inspection, commissioning, and acceptance of project assets. Additionally, RND prepares and maintains required asset management deliverables, including the Asset Management Plan, asset inventories, ADIS updates, asset tag submittals, product data, installation documentation, progress reporting, and final asset turnover packages in accordance with MBTA requirements.

RND coordinates closely with the MBTA, project team, and field personnel to verify asset data accuracy and completeness, support review and approval processes, and maintain compliance with MBTA asset management standards. Services include the design, procurement, coordination, and documentation of permanent asset identification tags; verification of QR code functionality; documentation of completed installations through field photography; and confirmation that assets are properly tagged and recorded prior to being placed into service.

In addition, RND provides right-of-way support through coordination of MBTA access requirements, field access compliance, and documentation necessary to perform asset inventory, verification, and tagging activities within active transit environments. Through these efforts, RND provides accurate asset tracking, efficient project turnover, and the MBTA's long-term asset lifecycle management objectives.
