NH DBE Supportive Services
The US Department of Transportation (USDOT) regulations require state and local transportation agencies that receive federal funding for projects to provide a certain Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) participation percentage goal. The purpose of the DBE Supportive Service Program is to provide training, assistance, and services to certified minority, disadvantaged, and women business enterprises to increase their activity in the program, and to facilitate the firms development into viable, self-sufficient organizations capable of competing for, and performing on federally assisted highway projects.
RND was contracted by the New Hampshire Department of Transportation to provide management consulting services to certified DBE businesses in the state of New Hampshire. RND provides advisory services to these businesses to develop their business and technical skills. Additionally, RND conducted a business needs assessment for participating firms to evaluate their access to financing and bonding, available human resources, existing capabilities and equipment, existing management processes, business development strategies, and other factors needed for the certified firms to become successful.
